Earlier today the Apple Watch <a href="http://www.macrumors...in-milan/">wenton display</a> at Milan's Salone Del Mobile Design, with Apple SVP of worldwide marketing Phil Schiller and design consult Marc Newson in attendance. Now, it appears that Jony Ive also made it to the event, revealing exclusive sport band colors for the Apple Watch at the same time. <br/> <br/> <img class="alignright size-full wp-image-447326" src="http://cdn.macrumors.com/article-new/2015/04/customband.png" alt="customband" width="700" height="703"/><center><em>Image via <a href="https://instagram.com/p/1l9QeRs6ts/?taken-by=188e76">Umberta Gnutti Beretta Instagram</a></em></center> <br/> Art enthusiast and philanthropist Umberta Gnutti Beretta posted a photo of a tray holding the new band colors on her <a href="https://instagram.com/188e76/">Instagram account</a> (<a href="http://9to5mac.com/2015/04/17/milan-event-new-bands/">via <em>9to5Mac</em></a>). The colors include what appears to be two shades of blue, the <a href="http://www.macrumors.com/2015/04/17/apple-watch-red-band-folding-uk-plug-photos/">custom red band</a> seen earlier today and a range of "skin-tone" colors, going from darker browns to lighter tans and peaches. This marks the third time exclusive new Apple Watch band options have been seen in the wild, with the previous two being the custom red band and the <a href="http://www.macrumors.com/2015/04/15/custom-gold-link-bracelet-apple-watch/">custom gold link bracelet</a> Karl Lagerfeld received. <br/> <br/> Milan is known as one of the more important cities in the fashion world, and an important destination for Apple as it continues to <a href="http://www.macrumors.com/2015/04/02/apple-watch-flare-magazine/">court</a> the <a href="http://www.macrumors.com/2014/09/10/apple-watch-fashion-first-impressions/">fashion world</a> to its brand new product. While it's unknown whether Apple will release these brand new and never-before-seen sport bands for the general public, it's been rumored that the Cupertino company is looking to introduce <a href="http://www.macrumors.com/2015/03/11/apple-watch-material-options/">additional casing materials</a> for the Apple Watch later this year, suggesting that new band options are also in the cards.<img width='1' height='1' src='http://rss.feedsportal.com/c/35070/f/648326/s/4580c7ad/sc/28/mf.gif' border='0'/><br clear='all'/><br/><br/><a href="http://da.feedsportal.com/r/224851701687/u/49/f/648326/c/35070/s/4580c7ad/sc/28/rc/1/rc.htm" rel="nofollow"><img src="http://da.feedsportal.com/r/224851701687/u/49/f/648326/c/35070/s/4580c7ad/sc/28/rc/1/rc.img" border="0"/></a><br/><a href="http://da.feedsportal.com/r/224851701687/u/49/f/648326/c/35070/s/4580c7ad/sc/28/rc/2/rc.htm" rel="nofollow"><img src="http://da.feedsportal.com/r/224851701687/u/49/f/648326/c/35070/s/4580c7ad/sc/28/rc/2/rc.img" border="0"/></a><br/><a href="http://da.feedsportal.com/r/224851701687/u/49/f/648326/c/35070/s/4580c7ad/sc/28/rc/3/rc.htm" rel="nofollow"><img src="http://da.feedsportal.com/r/224851701687/u/49/f/648326/c/35070/s/4580c7ad/sc/28/rc/3/rc.img" border="0"/></a><br/><br/><a href="http://da.feedsportal.com/r/224851701687/u/49/f/648326/c/35070/s/4580c7ad/sc/28/a2.htm"><img src="http://da.feedsportal.com/r/224851701687/u/49/f/648326/c/35070/s/4580c7ad/sc/28/a2.img" border="0"/></a><img width="1" height="1" src="http://pi.feedsportal.com/r/224851701687/u/49/f/648326/c/35070/s/4580c7ad/sc/28/a2t.img" border="0"/><div class="feedflare">

<p>Apple’s PR tour for the Apple Watch doesn’t appear to be slowing down with Apple’s design chief Jony Ive showing off the device and revealing an exclusive collection of never before seen Sport band colors tonight in Milan. Apple this morning <a title="Apple’s Phil Schiller &amp; Marc Newson kick off Apple Watch showcase in Milan (Gallery)" href="http://9to5mac.com/2...-milan/">kickedoff a showcase of the device at Milan’s Salone Del Mobile Design Fair in Itlay</a>, which was attended by Apple executives including marketing head Phil Schiller and designer Marc Newson.</p>
<p><span id="more-375318"></span><div class="inlinead"><a href="http://rss.buysellad...79&c=783360616"target="_blank"><img src="http://rss.buysellads.com/img.php?z=1288305&k=0d0633b70e3c2bda246a715efcc79f88&a=1429320979&c=783360616" border="0" alt="" /></a></div></p>
<p>Earlier today, images <a title="Photos show Apple Watch’s clever UK plug design, and a custom strap or not …" href="http://9to5mac.com/2...-plug/">emergedof a red Sport band</a>, and now Apple appears to be showing off several more exclusive Sport bands at tonight’s event in Italy. An image posted to Instagram shows dark blue, light pink, red, and yellow Sport bands. All of these colors were previously unreleased by Apple and never before seen. At the Design Week event in Milan, Apple is allowing invitees to try-on the Watch and use it with a band of their choosing. Designer Karl Lagerfeld <a href="http://9to5mac.com/community/karl-lagerfeld-has-an-apple-watch-w-gold-link-bracelet/">was seen with an Apple Watch paired with a gold link bracelet earlier this week</a>, although it’s not confirmed if the band was designed by Apple.</p>
<p>Attendees of the event were invited by Apple design Marc Newson, who joined the company in late 2014. A gallery of images from the event can be seen below (via <a href="https://instagram.co...88e76/">UmbertaGnutti Beretta</a>). Apple is holding <a href="http://9to5mac.com/2015/03/01/apple-watch-pop-up-stores-paris-london-sxsw/"><span class="s2">similar pop-up store events</span></a> in Paris, London, and Tokyo. It’s worth noting that Italy, where the Milan Design Week events are being held, is <a href="http://9to5mac.com/2015/04/14/apple-watch-salone-del-mobile-milan-italy/">not a launch market for the Apple Watch</a>, but an important one in the fashion world.</p>

Apple begins notifying lottery winners of WWDC 2015 tickets

Apple’s annual lottery for WWDC tickets officially ended this morning at 10AM PST and lucky developers have started receiving confirmation emails this evening. The developers who were lucky enough to win an opportunity to the attend event have received emails in their inbox and their credits have been charged.

http://rss.buysellad...979&c=423687137
For developers who did not receive a notification from Apple regarding their WWDC ticket, the company says that some sessions throughout the event will be live streamed, while most will be available to watch on-demand.
A developer ticket to WWDC runs $1599 and the annual event is being held from June 8th to June 12th at Moscone West in San Francisco. Apple officially announced WWDC 2015 earlier this week, teasing that it will be the “epicenter of change” and that “the future of iOS and OS X” will be showcased.
We reported earlier this year that Apple plans to unveil iOS 9 this year, with a focus on performance improvements. Apple is also expected to announce its streaming music service this year, after showing off an all-new Music app in iOS 8.4. Other possible announcements include a Web TV service for Apple TV and the Watch SDK for developing native apps for the Apple Watch.
It’s unclear if Apple is still sending emails to developers who won a ticket to WWDC, so if you’ve yet to receive an email, don’t lose hope just yet.

WWDC 2015 Lottery Ends, Winners Begin Receiving Confirmat...

Developer demand for Apple's annual Worldwide Developers Conference always exceeds ticket supply, so Apple holds a lottery to determine which developers will win the chance to go to the conference. This year, Apple accepted lottery entries from April 14 until today, April 17, at 10 a.m. Pacific Time.

Now that the lottery has ended, Apple has begun sending out emails to developers who were selected and has charged their credit cards the $1,599 ticket price. Developers who won are currently sharing their good fortune on Twitter after receiving order confirmations.

I GOT A GOLDEN TICKET! #wwdc https://t.co/nv8J4IqHvX— Julie Johnston (@Julia_JJ) April 17, 2015

This year's Worldwide Developers Conference starts on June 8 and will run through June 12 at Moscone West in San Francisco. More than 1,500 Apple engineers will be on hand to host over 100 technical sessions and hands-on labs. The event is also likely to include a keynote to unveil new products, and it will include the annual Apple Design Awards.

At WWDC this year, Apple is expected to unveil the newest versions of iOS and OS X -- iOS 9 and OS X 10.11. There have also been rumors suggesting the event could be used to unveil a new television service, a revamped Apple TV set-top box, and a rebranded Beats music service.

Developers who are unable to attend or who do not win the ticket lottery will be able to watch several live streams of WWDC sessions that will cover a wide range of topics from the iPad and iPhone to the Apple Watch and MacBook, along with other Apple products and services.mf.gif

Luke Skywalker does his best flying with R2-D2. Now customers of Japan’s All Nippon Airways can fly with the beloved Star Wars droid, thankfully without taking fire from TIE fighters. Sony leaks reveal Apple TV and iTunes Store contracts, Se...

<p><img title="Sony leaks reveal Apple TV and iTunes Store contracts, Sex Tape + Breaking Bad deals with Apple" class="aligncenter size-large wp-image-375272" src="https://9to5mac.file...ng?w=704&h=353"alt="MacBook Breaking Bad Sticker" width="704" height="353" /></p>
<p>Known for publishing previously confidential documents, <a href="http://wikileaks.org...kiLeaks</a> hasreleased a large collection of emails from last year’s <a href="http://9to5mac.com/2014/12/18/sony-hack/">widely publicized hack of Sony</a>, notably including Apple agreements covering Sony’s Crackle Apple TV channel, video sales through iTunes, and other topics. The leaks include:</p>
<ul>
<li>The <a href="https://wikileaks.or.../115">terms</a>of Apple’s agreement to add Sony’s Crackle video service to the Apple TV, notably including a 3-year term (starting December 11, 2013), Sony’s retention of 100% of advertising revenue, and a promise that Apple will permit new types of overlaid/display ads on Crackle if it becomes technically feasible and Apple OKs it. Few details were previously known about the business terms between Apple and channel providers for the Apple TV.</li>
<li>Apple’s <a href="https://wikileaks.or...>agreements</a>to distribute Sony videos through the iTunes Store, including the original 2007 agreement between the companies covering TV shows such as Charlie’s Angels and Who’s The Boss, term extensions and high-definition amendments, and the addition of iTunes in the Cloud (which Apple originally called “Virtual Storage Locker”).</li>
<li>Sales <a href="https://wikileaks.or...">forecasts</a>for Sony games sold in the App Store, as well as <a href="https://wikileaks.org/sony/docs/05/Crackle/Games/SPT%20Networks%20Games%20Data%20Pack_050613.xlsx">charts</a> suggesting that Sony’s iPhone and iPad game revenues far surpassed the amounts made on competing platforms.</li>
</ul>
<p>The leaks go on to describe Apple and Sony product tie-ups, including the iPad’s “character” role in the film <a href="http://www.amazon.co...rust925-20">SexTape</a>, as well as Sony’s internal reaction to Apple’s “Stickers” ad featuring a <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Pilot/dp/B0012QRPU4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1429300700&amp;s=instant-video&amp;keywords=breaking%252Bbad&amp;tag=trust925-20&amp;sr=1-1">Breaking Bad</a> reference, and an apparent effort by Dreamworks’ Jeffrey Katzenberg urging Sony not to collaborate with Apple…<br /><span id="more-375258"></span><div class="inlinead"><a href="http://rss.buysellads.com/click.php?z=1288305&k=0d0633b70e3c2bda246a715efcc79f88&a=1429307869&c=460272235" target="_blank"><img src="http://rss.buysellads.com/img.php?z=1288305&k=0d0633b70e3c2bda246a715efcc79f88&a=1429307869&c=460272235" border="0" alt="" /></a></div></p>
<p><img title="Sony leaks reveal Apple TV and iTunes Store contracts, Sex Tape + Breaking Bad deals with Apple" class="aligncenter wp-image-375283 size-large" src="https://9to5mac.file...pg?w=704&h=381"alt="" width="704" height="381" /></p>
<ul>
<li>An email exchange includes a list of roughly two dozen Apple product <a href="https://wikileaks.or...ferences</a> inthe script for the movie <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Sex-Tape-HD-Cameron-Diaz/dp/B00LWY5B52?tag=trust925-20">Sex Tape</a>, which Sony executives briefly consider rewriting to use Sony products instead, as “normally this is a big problem.” But since the movie’s producers “feel the iPad/Apple is more of a character in the film,” Sony’s executives okay the references.</li>
<li>Concerned <a href="https://wikileaks.or...096">emails</a>between Sony executives when Apple ran its MacBook Air sticker advertisement, including the image of <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Pilot/dp/B0012QRPU4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&amp;sr=1-1&amp;s=instant-video&amp;keywords=breaking%2Bbad&amp;tag=trust925-20&amp;qid=1429300700">Breaking Bad</a>‘s Walter White/Heisenberg, though Apple had requested and apparently received <a href="https://wikileaks.org/sony/emails/emailid/984">approval</a>.</li>
<li>An <a href="https://wikileaks.or...6348">email</a>from Dreamworks’ Jeffrey Katzenberg, who was then attempting to buy music video site Vevo, urging Sony not to “let someone like Apple build yet another asset on the back of your content.”</li>
</ul>
<p>The leak also includes many less consequential emails, such as then-Sony Pictures Entertainment Chairperson Amy Pascal’s <a href="https://wikileaks.or...purchase</a> ofApple EarPods from Amazon, as well as communications suggesting that Sony <a href="https://wikileaks.org/sony/emails/emailid/31233">knew</a> it was being hacked. Yesterday, a <a href="http://9to5mac.com/2015/04/16/scott-fostall-snapchat/">separate WikiLeaks post from the Sony archives</a> revealed that former Apple Senior VP Scott Forstall was serving as an advisor to Snapchat; today, Forstall unexpectedly surfaced in public as a <a href="https://twitter.com/9to5mac/status/589139573579591680">Broadway producer</a>.</p><br />Filed under: <a href='http://9to5mac.com/category/aapl-company/'>AAPL Company</a>, <a href='http://9to5mac.com/category/general/'>General</a> Tagged: <a href='http://9to5mac.com/tag/apple/'>Apple</a>, <a href='http://9to5mac.com/tag/apple-tv/'>Apple TV</a>, <a href='http://9to5mac.com/tag/breaking-bad/'>Breaking Bad</a>, <a href='http://9to5mac.com/tag/crackle/'>Crackle</a>, <a href='http://9to5mac.com/tag/dreamworks/'>DreamWorks</a>, <a href='http://9to5mac.com/tag/itunes-in-the-cloud/'>iTunes in the Cloud</a>, <a href='http://9to5mac.com/tag/itunes-store/'>ITunes Store</a>, <a href='http://9to5mac.com/tag/sex-tape/'>Sex Tape</a>, <a href='http://9to5mac.com/tag/sony/'>Sony</a> <a rel="nofollow" href="http://feeds.wordpress.com/1.0/gocomments/9to5mac.wordpress.com/375258/"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://feeds.wordpress.com/1.0/comments/9to5mac.wordpress.com/375258/" /></a> <a rel="nofollow" href="http://feeds.wordpress.com/1.0/godelicious/9to5mac.wordpress.com/375258/"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://feeds.wordpress.com/1.0/delicious/9to5mac.wordpress.com/375258/" /></a> <a rel="nofollow" href="http://feeds.wordpress.com/1.0/gofacebook/9to5mac.wordpress.com/375258/"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://feeds.wordpress.com/1.0/facebook/9to5mac.wordpress.com/375258/" /></a> <a rel="nofollow" href="http://feeds.wordpress.com/1.0/gotwitter/9to5mac.wordpress.com/375258/"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://feeds.wordpress.com/1.0/twitter/9to5mac.wordpress.com/375258/" /></a> <a rel="nofollow" href="http://feeds.wordpress.com/1.0/gostumble/9to5mac.wordpress.com/375258/"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://feeds.wordpress.com/1.0/stumble/9to5mac.wordpress.com/375258/" /></a> <a rel="nofollow" href="http://feeds.wordpress.com/1.0/godigg/9to5mac.wordpress.com/375258/"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://feeds.wordpress.com/1.0/digg/9to5mac.wordpress.com/375258/" /></a> <a rel="nofollow" href="http://feeds.wordpress.com/1.0/goreddit/9to5mac.wordpress.com/375258/"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://feeds.wordpress.com/1.0/reddit/9to5mac.wordpress.com/375258/" /></a> <img alt="" border="0" src="http://pixel.wp.com/b.gif?host=9to5mac.com&blog=22754319&post=375258&subd=9to5mac&ref=&feed=1" width="1" height="1" /><p>For more news on <a href="http://9to5mac.com/category/aapl-company/">AAPL Company</a>, <a href="http://9to5mac.com/tag/apple/">Apple</a>, and <a href="http://9to5mac.com/tag/apple-tv/">Apple TV</a> continue reading at <a href="http://9to5mac.com">9to5Mac</a>.</p><p>What do you think? <strong><a href="http://9to5mac.com/2015/04/17/sony-leak-apple-details/#comments">Discuss "Sony leaks reveal Apple TV and iTunes Store contracts, Sex Tape + Breaking Bad deals with&nbsp;Apple" with our community.</a></strong></p>
